Milestone for Armand van Veen

On Friday, April 10, a Jiu Jitsu exam took place at the Fight Game Academy. An exam centered around dedication, perseverance, and passion for the sport.

During this exam, which was conducted by our instructors Gerrie Dusseljee and Michel Tentij, Armand van Veen demonstrated what commitment and discipline can achieve. Together with his regular training partner Jan Hofman, he showcased the full Jiu Jitsu exam requirements, performing techniques with a high level of control, precision, and execution.

For the Judo component, there was a contribution from Niesko Veenker, who was specially brought in to demonstrate this part. His presence highlighted the importance of a strong foundation within the martial arts.

What makes this achievement stand out is the journey leading up to it. Alongside a busy job and family life, Armand found the time and discipline to prepare thoroughly for this exam. His efforts paid off: he skipped a grade and is now the first brown belt within the Jiu Jitsu department of the Fight Game Academy.

We would like to congratulate Armand on achieving this milestone.

We are proud of his development. The examiners, Gerrie Dusseljee and Michel Tentij, intend to nominate him, within the framework of a national JBN examination, to enter the trajectory toward his black belt. The Fight Game Academy looks forward to guiding him toward this next step.
